The Origin of the Lollar Overdrive

Last autumn, KGR owner and revered pedal designer Keijiro Fukushima visited the Lollar headquarters, bringing with him a selection of his acclaimed effects pedals. The Lollar team was captivated by the sonic possibilities and the exquisite design of Keijiro’s creations. After thorough testing, it was his Overdrive pedal that stood out, laying the foundation for this exclusive Lollar/KGR collaboration.

Exquisite Craftsmanship

The Lollar Overdrive 2023's enclosure is crafted using nambu-tekki, a traditional Japanese forging technique known for creating exquisite cast-iron teapots. This method, originating from Japan’s Iwate prefecture, involves a forge that has been operational for over two centuries. Keijiro has adapted this ancient technique to create the stunning enclosures for his pedals, marrying modern technology with traditional craftsmanship.
